Within Sonoma County, messages regarding the safety, property or welfare of the community are broadcast using the SoCoAlert system. These may include evacuation notifications, shelter-in-place orders, boil water advisories, high fire danger warnings, tsunami warnings, and flood warning.

Sign up for SoCoAlert by creating a managed account through the system carrier, CodeRED. Once signed-up you will receive notifications from Sonoma County first responders in the event of emergencies.

A managed account will allow you to save and modify your existing notification settings and contact information.

Like all jurisdictions using CodeRED services, you may customize the types of notifications you receive and add additional addresses for the CodeRED system to monitor.
